Computer aided design and production. Conversion of complex form to developable surfaces.
Computer aided design and production. Conversion of complex form to developable surfaces.
In collaboration with Bjarke Ørvad and Stefan Brandt from DTU we examined the possibilities of transforming complex digital form into easy producible building components.
The starting point for the investigation was the one of our project. arT_ISSUE. Here the initial idea vas to use CNC cut moulds. It evolved into using single curvature surfaces, fitted together, creating a monoque structure.
